Weekend Clean Up

So with us coming up on our first year in our home here in Milwaukee it is hard to believe that we still have so much of the other residence's junk lying around. So I was overjoyed to hear that our neighbor hood would be having a bulky waste pick up. Unfortunately they only gave us a week to get ready for it. So two weekends ago Mike and I got ready to get some cleaning and landscaping done. Saturday the weather was picture perfect. Kain got to wear shorts for the first time this year and Rae got to wear a cute summer dress. They played outside while Mike and I got some plants planted and some new landscape dug out. Around noon we stopped for lunch and then planned on cleaning out the garage and start putting things out to the curb. Not even a half an hour after lunch I was sicker then sick. Food Poisoning!!! Yucky. I can't even remember the last time that I was that sick. There was so much to be done. It was supposed to rain Sunday and Monday is when they were picking up. Poor Mike got stuck with the kids and couldn't get out to get things to the curb. I took an hour nap and luckily I started to feel good enough to take care of the kids while Mike could start getting things put out. Lucky for us our friends Katie and Steve came down, and Steve was able to help Mike finish up. Thank goodness for good friends. Luckily we were able to get a good chunk done. I wonder when they will do bulky waste pick up again. :)

I guess I would describe myself as a Mommy who loves to hug, snuggle, kiss, photograph, and just enjoy my kiddos. I am so in love with my wonderful husband and enjoy every morning that I wake up with him next to me. I am a baby wearing, scrapbooking, blogging, wife, daughter, playmate, artist, gardener, painter, decorator, yoga practicer, cook, organizer, neat freak, perfectionest, women of faith. Just to name a few. I am determined to have an almost all natural home for the health of my family. I am always picking myself apart and always trying to improve to be the very best person I can be for my family and myself. I struggle, and I perservere. I laugh and I cry. I guess you can say that I am just a normal every day women.

Mike is a husband, Daddy, provider, best friend, comedian, stratagizer, family man, awesome cook, great grill master, a classic video game lover, MMO player (Mass Multi-player Online game), MSOE graduate, whom I adore. He is everything that I could have ever asked for as my partner in life. He loves his children and wife to no end. He puts us first and provides for us so well. I don't know what I would do without him. He builds me up, encourages me and helps me to be a better person. I love talking to him and spending time with him. Our love has grown and strengthened as the years have gone on. I know that through the good and the bad we can count on each other.

Kain is our 4 year old little man. He is a bundle of energy from the moment he is awake until he closes his eyes again at night. He is the smartest little guy I have ever seen and eager to learn more and more. He spends his days running around looking for "clues", finding colors and numbers, chasing Mana or harassing the other two cats, helping Mommy with baby sister, and palying with his Mega Man and Mario action figures. His favorite color is green and I swear his goal in life is to grow up and be just like Steve or Joe from Blue's Clues.He even has his own sound track as he runs around, he is either singing the Mega Man theme song, Mario theme song, "We are looking for Blue's Clues", or the newest one the song in Tetris. He loves taking pictures, playing outside, and entertaing the many people who love to come and play with him. I love my little man and can't help but smile when I think of opening his bedroom door in the morning and being greeted by his warm smile and a "hi mom".

Raelyn Kristina is our 1 1/2 year old bundle of joy. She is such a blessing in so many ways. I cherish her and everything she is. She was born a month early and was in the NICU for about 8 days after birth with breathing problems. She later had to go back for about another week when she was hit with RSV. It is my goal to keep my smiling, cooing, giggly, gurgling, pig tailed baby as safe and as healthy as possible. She loves her brother and loves to play and make mischief. She has attitude and isn't afraid to show it. She talks, and walks all over the place. We are so blessed to have her as our own and it is a joy to watch her grow and get to know the world around her.
